Recipes and green smoothies

They are called “green smoothies” due to their high chlorophyll content.  They are prepared by mixing raw leafy greens and fruits. It is usually recommended to mix 60% fruits and 40% green leafy vegetables  to have a smoothie with optimal nutritional properties.

Summer green smoothie

  • A ripe mango.
  • 2 bananas
  • 5 lettuce leaves.
  • 3 cups of water

Chard smoothie

  • A handful of chard.
  • A handful of parsley.
  • 2 bananas
  • Juice of half a lemon.
  • 2 cups of water.

Sweet parsley smoothie

  • A cup of fresh parsley.
  • A green apple.
  • A banana.
  • 4 dates.
  • ¼ cup of lemon.
  • 2 cups of water.

Lettuce and celery smoothie

Celery juice

  • ½ cup of romaine lettuce.
  • One and ½ cups of water.
  • 3 sticks of celery.
  • 2 relatively small apples.
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup of lemon juice.
  • A little piece of parsley.

How do you make it?

Its preparation is very simple, you just have to mix the ingredients in a blender (very powerful) and that’s it. The idea is to consume the smoothie as fresh as possible, as it will be more nutritious.

Cucumber smoothie

  • A cucumber.
  • 2 sticks of celery.
  • A green apple.
  • A handful of spinach
  • A lemon.

You must blend all the ingredients with a glass of water. Later, add the lemon juice. Take it preferably on an empty stomach for at least a week.

Other delicious shakes

If you are not interested in green smoothies, or if you have children at home who refuse to eat “green stuff,” you can try one of the following smoothie recipes.

Orange and strawberry smoothie

  • 2 oranges
  • 7 strawberries
  • A peach.

Carrot smoothie

  • 8 carrots
  • A beet.
  • A stalk of celery.

Wash, peel and chop the carrots and beets. Do exactly the same with the celery stalk; then put all the ingredients in the blender. Serve and drink immediately.

Celery and honey smoothie

Honey

  • A tablespoon of honey.
  • 3 stalks of celery.
  • A glass of water.

Before placing the ingredients in the blender, wash and chop the celery stalks, then add the honey, and beat everything for a few moments. Strain and have a glass daily throughout the week.

Orange and apple smoothie

  • 4 oranges.
  • An Apple.
  • Half a liter of mineral water.

Extract the juice of both fruits (the apple and the oranges). Mix and blend them together with the mineral water. Have a glass after every meal throughout the week.
