Characteristics of homemade lasagna

Lasagna-de-pisto

When it comes out of the oven, its golden appearance and the smoothness of all its ingredients, especially the bechamel, make lasagna an extremely appetizing meal.

On the other hand, it should be noted that, given the variety of ingredients that compose it, it provides diverse and great nutritional benefits, such as:

Its tomato content means that it has a high content of lycopene.  We obtain lycopene from tomatoes and their derivatives, in addition to watermelon. This is a carotenoid that the human body absorbs better if consumed with oil.

The consumption of lycopene has the effect of reducing the incidence of some types of cancer, especially prostate, lung, cardiovascular and digestive tract. Thus, there are even studies that indicate that lycopene prevents muscle degeneration syndrome.

On the other hand, all homemade lasagna includes cheese, which means an important contribution of calcium. In addition to improving bone health, calcium also lowers high blood pressure and helps prevent cancers such as breast, colon, and gastric. The correct absorption of calcium helps to have a better neuronal response to promote muscle movement
