4 Natural Treatments For Eye Pain

3. Caesalpinia

Caesalpinia belongs to the legume family and they are flowers that help improve eye conditions. To do this, use the decoction of its flowers and apply them very carefully on the eyes.

To prepare this remedy for eye pain we must put water to boil on the fire and add the leaves. Later, when it reaches the boiling point, we turn off the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

After that time we must strain the mixture very well. With a cotton ball we soak it in the mixture and wash our eyes with it. If we moisten a small gauze or a compress, we can put it on our eyes for a few minutes.

4. Cold compresses

At first we saw the importance of using warm compresses in the eye area. But, also, cold compresses can be used to relieve and improve eye pain. To do this, it is important to follow these tips:

  • We will soak a compress in cold water and drain it well before putting it on the eyes.
  • In the event that we use an infusion, we will let it cool down before soaking the compress and applying it to the eyes.
  • We can also, once the infusion has cooled, put it in the fridge to later apply it on the eyes with a much fresher touch.
