Keys To Prevent Premature Gray Hair Naturally

There are people who from very young begin to have premature gray hair, which noticeably ages their appearance and can even affect them psychologically, lowering their self-esteem.

In this article we give you some home and natural remedies as well as eating tips to prevent the premature appearance of gray hair or delay it as much as possible.

Although there may be a genetic component that conditions the early appearance of gray hair, that does not mean that we cannot resort to natural remedies to delay it as much as possible and also benefit our body.

We must not forget that premature gray hair may be signaling a problem of nutritional deficiency or malfunction of an organ, as we will see in this article, especially when they appear at an early age.

A nutritious diet

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, hair is closely related to the health of the liver and gallbladder, and gray hair could be a symptom that these organs are not working properly. However, there is no scientific evidence to support these assumptions.

To balance this part, we can take infusions of bitter medicinal plants such as boldo, milk thistle, artichoke or dandelion.

Alfalfa

Alfalfa is an excellent medicinal food that, although it is not yet known if it could help us prevent gray hair, it contains many benefits. These are:

  • Protein
  • Vitamins: vitamin A, B, E and K.
  • Minerals : calcium and iron.

This plant plays an important role in the defense of organs such as the kidneys and the liver, as some research assures. We can consume alfalfa in the form of sprouted seeds, natural juice or supplement.

Parsley

Parsley is a plant that has numerous properties for health and specifically for hair . It is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C and provides us with a large amount of iron.

We must consume it fresh, adding it as a raw condiment to our daily dishes or including it in our natural juices. We can also take it as an infusion.

Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo biloba is a very useful medicinal plant in the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular problems and (perhaps), due to its hair regenerating power, in delaying the appearance of premature gray hair, although there is no research to support it.

We will take it as an infusion or tablets, but for a period not exceeding three months and always under medical supervision. After three months of rest, we can repeat the treatment.

Hair massage

There is a simple exercise that will help us improve the health of our hair and could prevent early graying (although it is not scientifically proven). It consists of massaging the entire scalp. We will have to press lightly, since it is not about stroking or combing, but about moving the scalp, an area that is usually quite rigid and has little mobility.

We will make circles, covering the entire head.  We will do it for 5 minutes when we get up in the morning and before going to bed.
